About Us
Blue Ridge Appraisals began as a residential appraisal firm in 2003 by Timothy Postell and Mitchell Tipton. Our goal was to offer quality and reliable appraisal services to the North Georgia area. In 2006, Mitchell decided to pursue other business venture and left the company. By adding commercial appraisals, we became a full service appraisal firm in July of 2007.
Blue Ridge Appraisals is one of the most established firms in the area. We take great pride in our quality of work and ethical responsibilities and feel our reputation within the community speaks for itself.

Timothy Postell
Chief Appraiser
Timothy is a Certified General Appraiser licensed in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He has been actively appraising in the North Ga area since 1998.
Matthew Postell
Appraiser Trainee
Matthew is a Georgia Registered Appraiser working toward his certification and has been with the firm since 2019.
Melissa Postell
Office Manager
Melissa is a Georgia Registered Appraiser who serves as the office manager handling all accounts.
